Try the factory refurbished cameras available from places like Adorama, Overstock.com, and others. (Do an Internet search on 'refurbished cameras' and you'll find plenty of sources.) I bought three last year from Adorama, Nikon point-and-shoots, for about one-third of the price of new ones. I've been very happy with mine.
