Okay, I’m better. What is it with good sci-fi not lasting on Fox? Not only will all those questions I have remain un-answered, but a good story will get put aside, for a crappy one. Why didn’t this catch on? I mean it had everything– girls, guns, gear, girls… seriously, the words ” Eliza Dushku shower scene” should have improved ratings by at least 1 million viewers.
Argh! So, now all of us geeks who liked “Dollhouse” get to mourn it. While I can’t lay claim to the same emotional ties Jennifer can, I’ll miss the show.

I can tell you exactly why shows like this don’t catch on.
Because a large percentage of the people who have the mindset and world view to appreciate a show like that don’t watch much TV.
Heck, I know several independent, resourceful, gunny types that don’t even OWN a TV.

It wasn’t your run of the mill show. It wasn’t even what most Whedon fans were used to from him and I think that hurt it. I read they will complete filming of the 13 episode order, they were up to 11, so we should get the complete second season on DVD. Better than nothing and maybe Whedon should take a look at another network next time.

Not like the SciFi (excuse me, Syfy) channel is any better. Since NBC took over, there’s almost no real SF on Syfy. Bunch of B movies and wrestling, but no SF. Heck, the only thing I watch it for are the SG-1 reruns and SG-U.
