The Four Rules in action

without comments

Howard Nemerov has a new article up about the frequency of negligent shootings.  Turns out that the trend from 1984 to 2006 is a steady decline, with spikes in 1993 (Blood in the streets!  More gun laws!) and 2005 (That evil Bush, letting gangs get those evil black rifles again!).  Robb points out that over 122 MILLION firearms have been purchased since 1984, but the death rate by firearms has DROPPED over 71%.

This is good news.  Just remember when you teach your next newbie to shoot that the flip side of power is responsibility.
