… and battle comes down. Apparently Obama desires to take on Fox News. Per Anita Dunn, the White House communications director: “They take their talking points, put them on the air; take their opposition research, put them on the air. And that’s fine. But let’s not pretend they’re a news network the way CNN is.”
I thought that was what “news” was. Apparently I am sadly mistaken. A Fox VP is quoted in the article as saying “”It’s astounding the White House cannot distinguish between news and opinion programming…” Yes, it is. I mean, Glenn Beck says he isn’t a journalist every 10 minutes or so, but the NYT has a man watching his show to help break the news. I don’t know whether that proves how awesome Glenn is, or how sad the NYT is.
