I live on a hill top, so no flooding, but it's 2 1/2 miles (and three creek bottoms) to the paved road. However, I have no appointments until Thursday, so... no worries. Plus, Claudette is turning into something out of Monty Python. "Up, can't land there, up, not there, either... maybe over there..." GET ON WITH IT. :D Heh.
