Wonderful movie. Seeing as the lead actor has only starred in one short film before now (he was the star of the short film this movie is based on, ) he pulls off the lead wonderfully. One thing I love is the fact that they could have gone Michael Bay with the explosions, but they didn’t. Good balance, you get drawn into the story, and you actual begin to feel for the main characters. You also begin to feel contempt for the antagonists. Which makes the last fight scene oh so sweet. I’ll be buying it on DVD.

I loved the movie, but hated the illogic of it all.

For 28 years, no alien was able to parlay technical knowledge into better living conditions? No other company on earth was able to contact the aliens about their tech, their society, their biology, their ship? No pro-alien NGO smuggled them to freedom?

And nobody could find a 50-foot long dual-engined flying ship that was caught on film dropping from the mothership, over 28 years? Bull.

I hope this was a prequel for the movie about the return of the mothership.
