Want to know how biased the media really is? My Senator “retired” mid-term and the news barely covered it. Even our local paper ran it as an editorial. Where’s the outrage? He left the job unfinished!
Senator Martinez, congrats on the retirement, and the fact that you won’t be voting on Cap-and-Trade. Thanks for waiting for the Sotomayor vote to roll around before you quit retired, though! I know how it is to work for a verbally abusive boss, but can’t you at least work out your two weeks the rest of your term? I mean, I’ll be nice! (No promises on the rest of your constituents, though. Goes double for the guy I know who called every day asking for you to confirm that you were a conservative.) Heck, I won’t even bring up the fact that your office isn’t even in your district again!
Now, my Governor is talking about who he will appoint. Problem is, he wants to run for Senator in 2010. So, he can’t appoint a weakling, it’ll just look bad to run against a lame duck he appointed. If he puts a Democrat in office, he’ll never win this district. If he puts a true conservative in, he’ll lose the support of Obama…
